Buyer protection
- Lebonplan holds the seller’s share until you approve the item.
- Check the condition and agreement with the listing’s description and photos during the in-person handover.
- Only confirm after receiving and checking the relevant items. Confirmation triggers payment to the seller; processing may take time.
- If the item is not as described, do not confirm. Use the item-not-as-described action in your order to open a dispute when available. Keep photos and messages.

Accepted payment methods
- We offer several convenient, secure payment methods on Lebonplan.
- We currently accept:
- Orange Money: a mobile money service that lets you pay directly from your phone.
- MTN MoMo: a popular mobile money service for simple, secure payments.
- Lebonplan wallet: use your available balance to cover all or part of the amount due.

Payment process
- When making a purchase, choose the payment method and check the amount before confirming in Lebonplan.
- For Orange Money and MTN MoMo, you generally enter your number and approve the transaction using a USSD code or mobile app.
- You can apply the available balance in your wallet. If the applied amount covers the entire order, no additional Mobile Money payment is needed; otherwise, the remainder is paid using Orange Money or MTN MoMo.
- Once payment is confirmed, you receive an order confirmation.
- The seller is notified: agree on a time and place for the in-person handover.

Payment security
- Pay only through the official Lebonplan checkout. Avoid payment links sent by strangers.
- Never share your password, Mobile Money PIN or confidential text-message codes with the seller or support.
- Approve an operator payment only through its official flow after checking the amount.
- Money sent directly to a seller outside Lebonplan’s checkout is not covered by its escrow.

Pricing and fees
- The total order price and any fees are clearly displayed before payment confirmation.
- Any payment processing fees are also shown at checkout.
- Sellers set their item prices.
- Buyers pay the amount agreed with the seller.
- If a negotiation is successful, the agreed price applies.

Payment issues and support
- If you encounter a problem, check your payment details and ensure you have sufficient funds.
- For Orange Money and MTN MoMo, make sure your account is active and funded.
- If the problem persists, contact our support team and describe the situation clearly.
- We are here to help you resolve payment issues quickly.

Cancellation and refunds
- Open My purchases and select your order to see whether cancellation is available. Already confirmed handovers are not cancelled by this action.
- For an item that is not as described, report the non-conformity before confirming. Disputed funds stay held during review; a refund is not automatic.
- An approved escrow refund credits your Lebonplan wallet for the approved seller funds, excluding commissions. It is not automatically returned to the original payment method.
